Precision in Miniature: RC Automotive Design

Welcome to a curated look at my work in high-fidelity 1/10 scale replicas. What began as a project to complement my action figure collection evolved into a deep dive into miniature fabrication, livery design, and technical craftsmanship. This gallery explores the convergence of automotive culture and precision scale modeling.

Custom 1/12 scale soft goods creation

Before RC drift cars, I started my scale journey with 1:12 scale soft goods.

Here's the process:

  1. Research inspiration

  2. Measure a 6" action figure

  3. Make a pattern of the clothing

  4. Cut out pieces of fabric material with the pattern

  5. Sew the patterns together

  6. Take the photos

  7. Edit in VSCO.

Salient has given me the opportunity to work with a variety of artists and creators both in streetwear and action figures. From full blown tutorials to fun Insta reels, Salient Scale remains to be a lifelong passion project.

Want to learn how to make your own custom action figure clothes?

I created digital sewing templates so you can start today!

Simply print, cut, trace, and sew!

These patterns can be used to create your very own 1/12 scale soft goods! Please check my tutorials on TikTok & Instagram to see HOW to properly use these templates.

Simply print out this template as many times as you'd like! It's already to scale so you can send it directly to a printer of your choice. I don't have a printer at home so I go to a printing place like Staples and print them out there. Then just cut them out and start tracing it over fabric of your choice.
